Successful Collaboration Between C3S LLC and Aurora Propulsion Technologies
We are proud to share the success of the cooperation between C3S LLC and Aurora Propulsion Technologies, which has delivered tangible results in the WISDOM project.
From Initial Discussions to Major Milestone
In less than two years since their first discussions at the Space Business Forum in April 2023, Helsinki, this collaboration has progressed from initial conversations to a major milestone: Aurora’s thrusters, enabling precise satellite maneuvering, and its plasma brake, supporting responsible orbital deorbiting, have been integrated into the WISDOM satellite.
The satellite is set to launch on November 26 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket as part of the Transporter-15 mission.
Advanced Systems for Satellite Safety
These advanced systems are central to satellite safety and collision avoidance, reflecting a shared commitment to sustainable and responsible space operations.
About the WISDOM Project
WISDOM (Wise Integration of Satellites PNT Tracking Data using OWL for Collision Avoidance Management) is an ESA NAVISP-supported project testing collision-avoidance technologies.
After deployment, the 6U CubeSat splits into two 3U satellites that autonomously coordinate maneuvers and deorbit at the end of their mission.
International Partnership Driving Innovation
The collaboration between the Hungarian and Finnish space sectors is a strong example of how international partnerships and shared expertise can drive innovation forward. Business Finland, as the organizer of the Space Business Forum in Finland, and the European Innovation Council (EIC), which supported the project, have also played an important role in enabling this successful cooperation.
Both teams are now eagerly awaiting the upcoming launch, which will mark an exciting new chapter in the realization of the WISDOM mission.
